The Quinceañera ceremony is a traditional, Latin American celebration that is held to commemorate a girl's fifteenth birthday — a milestone that marks the end of her childhood and the beginning of her life as a woman. Though the Quinceañera ceremony is not a sacrament, this tradition is typically accompanied by a special blessing in honor of the special date.
